Reggie’s Halloween

It’s that time of year again- time to completely embarrass myself and dress up my dog and take his picture! Reggie does not like clothes but he is sweet and allows me to dress him and take his picture and will even walk around a little in his costume. You can tell he is not amused though (tail low, head down) so I don’t leave it on him for long.

Reggie’s first Halloween costume was a squirrel. Yes, I get the irony. I thought it was funny that the little squirrel hands were holding nuts right in front. Kids love him and the attention makes him more comfortable.

The next year Reggie was a ninja turtle but for some reason I have no pictures of this. Probably for the best. You can picture a black dog with a green turtle shell on his back? That’s the idea.

Reggie got a two-for the next year. At day care he was a bunch of grapes. The wonderful staff there have a knack for making all of the dogs comfortable and photogenic in any costume! I went back to my animal theme and made him T-Reggie. It was a dinosaur year. I think the hat really made the outfit this time.

Reggie the Bat

This year I went simple- a bat. His wings have LED lights in them. He’s black so it makes perfect sense. I have to admit though, after I put the wings on and turned on the blinking lights he looked a bit more like a butterfly than a bat. He’s still adorable and a perfect Halloween companion!
